Even before i met the disabled street children of Lagos, I was inspired to help the disadvantaged realise their full potential.
These young people have an enomous wealth of talents, skill, intelligence and humour, but they have been denied the opportunity to develop them. I believe that all people are reliance and independence. Friends Of The Disabled was established to help the disadvantaged in the society, whether they are disabled, poor or elderly, through self-esteem.
The generosity of lagosians towards the street children is to be applauded, but it can also create dependency. I implore you to help people to help themselves so that they too may realise their dreams.It is not out of love that people patronise beggers because no one allows the loved ones to be on the street.Support their training and integrate them into the society.
